I welcome you on surinderaviator.com. My mission always been
to facilitate grooming up of exceptional 'aviator' while focusing on knowledge,
quality and absolute dedication in their profession. The goal for me has
been making gambit of learning aviation subjects an interesting and innovative
journey. The idea is not just to teach few numerical and make student pass
few tests. I strive to create an academic environment in, which students
are continually challenged and inspired to do their best possible work.
The challenge of dealing with so many students from different age group
together (youngest being something 18 and oldest of 56+ ), different academic
background, different cultural background and all under the same roof makes
it even more interesting and inspiring. I realized that it was more important
to indoctrinate a pupil into the seriousness of the subjects even before
the first class. It was a challenge for me to understand psychology of learning
and teaching than actually making someone a wizard. I learnt from and taught
my students simultaneously. During this small journey, we together, shared
few of the most memorable events together. My students will agree that we
always shared a bond!! Students laughed and cried in the same class.!! But,
all in all it has been a pleasant voyage. I have to resort to all kinds
of gimmicks to make my students understand the importance of taking things
seriously. I am not looking for winning battles of the class but we are
looking forward for the wars to be won in future.
Few of ATPL students disagree
with my concept of combine class of CPL and ATPL, as they feel that they
have been pitched at wrong platform. But most of them understand after few
classes that how important it is to have sound foundation. Nothing changes
between CPL and ATPL except the actual flying experience. Except modern
development subjects like EFIS, Autopilots, INS, GPS/DGPS, Flight Planning
etc most of the topics remains same. I always say, VOR will always remain
VOR, ILS or TCAS will remain ILS or TCAS. Same is applicable for Basic Navigation
and Instruments. . Nothing changes, except better understanding of the system,
wherein, one can apply themselves more.
I can never forget students of my
first batch particularly Nitin Jain, Vijay Khot, Mohit Ratti, Khurram Shehzad,
Jaideep Walia, Pankaj Prashant and last but not the least my wife Gagan.
These are few people, who had faith in me and trusted my words blindly.
Since then there has been no looking backward. Nothing has changed ever
since I started these classes.
It is indeed heartening to see the initiative
taken by few students to stay in touch through Orkut community of ?surinderaviator?.
I hope this site will be able to hold us together as member of Albatross
family. You are most welcome to give me any suggestions for improvement
of this site.
And as I always say "DON'T WASTE TIME IN LEARNING TRICKS OF
TRADE, LEARN THE TRADE"
Happy Landings
